October Favorites & What I've Been Up To

So....hello again everyone! It has definitely been a while but I do have a reason.  I got married last month! October 4, 2013.  We had our wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  So basically I've been doing a lot of planning and just super busy getting all of that together.  I will do a blog post a little later in the month about how the wedding went! So for now, I'm going to do my October favorites!

Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb:
I LOVE THIS SCENT!!!! Oh my goodness.  I wanted a new perfume for the wedding so my grandma and I went into Nordstrom just to smell the different perfumes.  I had gotten a small sample from sephora and liked it but it wasn't until actually smelled it out of the bottle.  I fell in love immediately! It is very floral just like the names says.  It is not super strong either which I like.  Needless to say, I am addicted.

My Wedding Band:

I know, I know.  It's cheesy but I can't help it.  It is obviously going to be a new favorite of mine! :D

Benefit Rockateur Blush:
This blush is just amazing! It's a beautiful pink color with some shimmer.  It looks like a lot of shimmer but when you put it on it is a very pretty pink with just a slight shimmer.  Plus you can wear it with almost any look!

Formula X Polish in Extreme by Sephora:

I can't say enough good things about this polish.  It goes on really easy.  You could get away with using only one coat but that's a hard thing for me to do! HA! The brush is really nice.  It's not too big or too small.  It is long lasting as well.  I've had it on since Halloween night and it is just now starting to chip.  As for the color, it is just gorgeous!! It is a pretty reddish orange color with a hint of shimmer.  It is perfect for fall.  I loved it so much I didn't even do an accent nail! Crazy stuff.  I will definitely be investing in more of these nail polishes.  Hopefully they are all as good as this color!

So not many favorites this time but these are the things I've been using almost daily.  What were your favorites for October?

30 Day Blogger Challenge Day 6: 6 Pet Peeves

Oooh let me see, I've got plenty of these.  So lets get started.

1.  When people shut doors at night without turning the knob and it makes a slamming type noise.  That drives me nuts! It might take an extra 2 seconds to do.  Not very hard either.

2.  When girls/women don't put their hair up when they clearly should.  Like sports for example.  I remember playing basketball in school, you're all hot and sweaty, running back and forth,  why would you want your hair down? You don't look good anyways.  I just don't get it.  Your hairs all up in your face more than your opponents.  Or while putting on makeup.  This is probably just a me thing but I always have to put my hair back to do my makeup.  It bugs me when I watch youtube and the girls are doing their makeup and have to constantly pull their hair out of their face.

3.  Not rinsing dirt dishes right away.  As soon as you are done rinse your dishes otherwise it drives up and it is so much harder to clean them.

4.  E-readers.  Like iPads, Kindles etc.  Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE my iPad.  I just like books.  I like to hold the actual book and physically turn the pages myself.  <----- a="" actually="" after="" font="" h="" is="" it="" more="" nbsp="" of="" peeve.="" pet="" preference="" than="" that="" typing="" well.="">

5.  And my biggest pet peeve!! I'm sure some of you do it and absolutely love it but I just find it ridiculous.  When girls/women run around outside in mini skirts and then wear ugg boots.  I don't get it at all.  Ladies, it is NOT cute! It looks like you are 6 years old and are dressing yourself for the first time.

6.  Commercials.  It's not actually the commercials themselves it's when you are watching your show and it goes to a commercial and the sound automatically gets louder.  It is so annoying.

So there are my 6 pet peeves.  Not very exciting I know.  And clearly I have some issues to work out.  HA! What are your 6 pet peeves?

30 Day Blogger Day 5: 5 Things You'd Like to Do Before You Die

Hi all!! So, 5 things I want to do before I die huh? There are so many things I'd like to do before I die.  I will try to keep it short and sweet though.

1.  Just travel.  I know this is very vague but I just want to go everywhere! Outside the United States I've only been to Germany and Mexico.  And Germany doesn't really count because I was so young I didn't really get to enjoy all it has to offer.  I would absolutely love to go to Greece! And Istanbul.  Paris, Machu Picchu, Italy, St Lucia....Oh my goodness the list goes on.  Fiji!

2.  Have a career that I enjoy.  That's not saying that I don't like my job.  I am very thankful for my job. It would be nice though to be excited to go to work everyday and do what you love.

3.  Go skydiving.  Yes, that is something I REALLY want to do.  I was going to go last year in Vegas but there was something going on in the drop zone so it was cancelled.  We had to leave the next day so we couldn't reschedule.  What a bummer!

4.  Surprise my future husband with a vacation! I'd love to work it out with his boss to set up some time off for him.  Then when he gets home that day tell him to pack his suit case and just head to the airport. I think that would be such a fun, great experience.  And definitely a surprise for him!

5.  Hmmm, lastly, own a BMW or an Audi.  That has always been a dream of mine.  For the price of my Ford Explorer I could have gotten one of them but since I live in the AK I figured a higher up 4 wheel drive would be the smart choice.  We have been talking about moving to the lower 48 one of these days so it is very likely to be in my future!

Well, not too much of an exciting list but those are my picks.  What would you like most to do before you die?

30 Day Blogger Challenge Day 4: 4 Things You Can't Live Without

Let's see, this one should be easy.  Food, water, clothes....Oh, you mean figuratively speaking? Okay then. :D HA! These are in random order by the way.

1.  Cell Phones.  Seriously people.  Could you imagine not having a cell phone? I was around during the day when there were no cell phones.  When you had to travel forever trying to find a phone booth and then, DAMN, now you need a quarter.  Plus nowadays you can do just about anything on your cell phone.  Make calls (obvi), search the internet, play games....whatever you need.  As long as you have service that is.

2.  Humor.  Life would be so incredibly boring without humor.  What would be the point? I mean there would still be love but and happiness but would that really be the same without humor? Plus it's good for your health.

3.  Internet. DUH.  What else can I say?

4.  Family & friends.  Okay, so technically that's 2 things.  I'll just say people then.  Almost everything happy in your life involves people.  Whether it's your spouse, your friends, your family, even random people.  They all add that little something to who you are.

What are your 4 things you can't live without?

30 Day Blogger Challenge Day 3: 3 Things You've Never Admitted to Anyone

Hello everyone! Welcome to Day 3 of the 30 day blogger Challenge! This is a tough one for me as I really do have a hard time not telling things about me. HA!

1.  I would absolutely LOVE to be a make-up artist! I've loved makeup and doing makeup ever since I  was like 6 and was playing with my mom's makeup.  (who BTW, does not wear much) I remember doing my sister's makeup for her senior year when she was homecoming princess and everyone was asking if I was a makeup artist.  I WISH!

2.  I would have to pretty much quote Dhara for the fact that no one I know personally knows about my blog either.  Or my instagram for that matter.  I mentioned doing a beauty blog to a co-worker and I just got this really weird look from her and decided not to mention it to anyone else for now.  Maybe eventually though!

3.  This one is actually probably a shocker to most people...I don't always brush my teeth before bed every night.  I know! It's disgusting and I should not be doing this... but sometimes I'm just so tired the last thing I think about doing is brushing my teeth.

What are your 3 things you've never admitted to anyone? Let me know below. :D Have a good day!

30 Day Blogger Challenge

So, I was perusing some bloggers that I follow and I found a fun 30 blogger challenge that Dhara Patelio and Yige Zang created.  Follow Dhara at http://dharapatelio.blogspot.com/ and Yige at http://yetanothermakeupblog.blogspot.com/

It looked fun so I figured why not? Here is the list of challenges:

As I am a little behind I will do challenges 1 & 2 today.

Second Challenge:  A picture of you two years ago & how you've changed

How have I changed....well, my hair is definitely a lot lighter.  I am just as much obsessed with makeup as I was back then but way more obsessed with nail polish.  I have learned to be more self confident and not care so much what other people think.  My sister had her little girl just last year and she is so incredibly amazing that thinking about having kids myself isn't completely out of the question anymore.

You should definitely do the challenge if you are looking to have fun and get to know other bloggers! Let me know if you decide to do it as well!

First Challenge:  One picture of yourself and a description:

So here is a recent picture from this year.  I don't have many picture of just me so I decided to use this fun one with my niece Lizzy! So lets see...a little about me.

1. I live in Alaska which I love to an extent because it is soooo incredibly beautiful and all of my friends and family are here.

2.  I would like to move to the lower 48 eventually because there are so many different things to do as far as shopping, concerts, amusement parks etc.

3.  I am turning 30 next month! AH!

4.  I am getting married next month as well! October is definitely going to be one to remember! ♥

5.  I am OBSESSED with make up and especially nail polish.  It's getting bad.  Reeeaaal bad.

6.  Cheese burgers with french fries or pizza are my absolute favorite foods.

7.  I don't like cold but still live in Alaska? What? Maybe because I love snowboarding?

8.  I love movies!  Especially scary movies and it is so hard to find people to watch them with me :(

9.  I love music as well.  I will listen to almost anything.  Yes, even some country.

10. I am very close to my family and friends.  I don't know what I would do without them.

So, it didn't really specify what it meant by description so I just went with 10 facts about myself.  FUN!

You should definitely do the challenge if you are looking to have fun and get to know other bloggers! Let me know if you decide to do it as well!

August Favorites!

Hello everyone! So as you all can tell, I have been slacking on the posts...again.  I can give excuses like work, planning a wedding etc. which does have a lot to do with it, but basically, I could do better.  So I'm gonna try I promise! :D

So who else can't believe August is over already? I mean my goodness it just flew by.  I did find some good things in the month of August along with something I've been using for years that isn't really a big surprise beauty product or anything.  Well, lets get started!

First up, Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Celadon:

I purchased this at Nordstrom.  I had to stop by the mall to pick up some bridesmaids shoes that I had on order and figured why not stop by the Nordstrom beauty Counter? $120 later...not counting my $20 Nordstrom note...I walked out with this beauty.  (Amongst other things of course) I wish I were at home so I could show a better swatch but this will have to do.  It is a pretty grayish-green color.  It goes on really smooth though I do have to go over it a few times for the color to actually show up as dark as it looks here.  I really love the color! It looks like your average black color but when it hits the sun you get the greenish color that just pops out.  I think I wore it literally every day that I wore makeup after I bought it.  It was not cheap though.  At $30 for a simple eyeliner there are definitely other eyeliners that are just as good if not better.  But I still really like it anyways.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte-Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 in #1 Nude Beige:

Oh my goodness! I have heard SOOO many good things about this lipstick from all of they beauty bloggers and gurus.  I just couldn't muster up the courage to pay so much for a simple lipstick.  Well, I ended up getting a $100 Sephora gift card from my co-workers as a bridal shower gift and figured I would get some luxury items that I normally wouldn't buy.  I am SO happy I bought this! Not only is the casing itself beautiful but the color is gorgeous! It is a very creamy texture which I just adore.  My grandma is always looking for a good lipstick and I was so excited to show her this one.  She loved it just as much as I do! Just not the price.  So she probably would not purchase this herself but I am definitely going to be buying some more of these amazing lipsticks!

Vaseline Petroleum Jelly:

So I'm pretty sure almost EVERYONE knows what this is.  I have been using it since I was about 16 years old.  I use it on my lips every single night.  I get very dry lips and this is the only thing that soothes the pain.  I'll even put it on throughout the day if i'm just staying at home.  It is so refreshing.  If you have this and haven't tried it on your lips I highly recommend it.  I got a free sample of a Josie Maran argan lip treatment from Sephora.  I was so excited to try it.  As soon as I opened it I did not like the smell.  When I put it on it just did not give me that refreshing feeling and literally within 15 minutes it was gone.  I went and put on my vaseline right away after that.

Does anyone have any other beauty uses for Vaseline Petroleum Jelly?

OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand Nail Polish in Honey Ryder:

So, I bought this nail polish on a whim.  I'm not really one for having texture on my nails.  But this one just looked so fun I decided to give it a try.  It is wonderful! It goes on very nicely and could even be used with only one coat.  I thought that the texture would bother me but it really didn't at all.  I wouldn't do all of my nails with this but as an accent nail it looks great!

DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum:

So. WOW.   This was another free sample that I got from Sephora.  I love my mascaras but I always thought a "primer" type mascara was just such a waste so I never tried it.  When I saw this as a 100 point perk I went ahead and chose it.  I sure am glad I did.  I had it for about a month before I actually tried it.  And boy does it make a difference! My lashes look thicker and more even.  It looks a little creepy when you first put it on because it is white but then once you put your 2 coats of mascara over it it just looks amazing! I will definitely be repurchasing the full size product.

So there are my August favorites! Again, sorry for slacking so much.  Next week I am actually thinking about posting some pictures of me in some different makeup styles for my wedding since I can not decide what I should do and maybe you can help me choose which looks the best? What do you think? I also made a Sephora and Ulta online purchase that I will share with you guys as well.  I hope you all had a great 'hump' day and I will talk to you soon!

July Favorites!!

Hello everyone! So first of all I wanted to apologize for my lack of posting lately.  My grandma was in a car accident and she needed help with a couple of things.  Thank goodness she only had a broken wrist and a bruised chest.  A car pulled out right in front of her.  So anyhow, that is what has been going on lately.  Plus I am back at work now so I'm pretty much away from almost all things beauty for the next week and a half :(

So, to my July favorites!!

First up is my Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in black.
I'm sure by now EVERYONE has heard of it.  I absolutely adore this gel liner! It goes on super smooth and lasts all day long.  For me it is much easier to apply than MAC's fluidline.  Plus the Maybelline one is much darker than MAC's as well.  I think I used it almost every day this month.

Next is the Nike 'Free 5.0 Running Shoe

These shoes are awesome! I love Nike running shoes.  I tend to have skinnier feet and a lot of other brands of running shoes are too wide for me.  These are so comfortable.  And I won't lie, the first thing I noticed about them.  Such fun colors aren't they? They aren't cheap of course but I believe you can get them during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for less right now.

It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin

This stuff is AH-MAZING!! I'm sure I've mentioned before I have really thin hair.  It tends to get a little frizzy at times as well.  So after I wash my hair I towel-dry it a bit and spray this on all of my hair except the roots.  It's makes my hair so soft and smooth.  To me it doesn't really have that strong of a smell either which is really nice.

Clarisonic Mia2

So I was skeptical about buying one of these for soooo long.  Then last month they FINALLY opened a Sephora in Alaska.  Boy was I in heaven! They had a bunch of different models there so I was checking them out.  That's when the lady came over.  She explained to me the difference between this one and the others.  This one actually has a timer on it.  It goes for one minutes but it does a little vibrating thing when it's time to switch to a different part of your face.  I love that about this product because I tend to spend more time than I actually need to scrub my face.  I used it on my hand in the store and it just felt amazing.  So I've been using it now for about a month and a half and I can honestly tell a huge difference on my face.  It is not as dry as usual, I haven't had as many breakouts and my face is super soft.  I would definitely recommend this product.

Well, that is all for my July favorites.  I know it wasn't much but these are the things that really stood out to me this month.  I am really enjoying the skin care products that I posted in my last haul but it hasn't really been long enough actually give a good review on them.  So maybe they will be in my August favorites!

I hope you all had a great month of July and are enjoying all of that warm weather! I know I sure am!

Random Movie Review

Okay, so.....I may have had a few too many glasses of wine tonight.  BUT, I did go see a movie today. We went and watched Pacific Rim.  Honestly, yesterday was the first time I had even heard of the movie.  My man wanted to watch it so we went today.  It was an excellent movie! It was very entertaining and I mean come on..giant robots and aliens?? Who wouldn't want to see that?

I guess I should give some of my movie background.  I literally almost like ANY movie.  I absolutely LOVE scary movies! The problem is I never have anyone to watch them with me.  Only one person but she works on the opposite shift as me so I won't get to see her until September which sucks! I love comedies, romance, historical, sci-fi, drama...I'll pretty much watch anything depending on my mood.  For example I watched Pacific Rim hours ago and now I'm watching 50/50.  Though I may have a little crush on Joey Gordon Levitt...BEFORE he was on Inception which is when all these youngsters first noticed him.  Awmagudness, I love him.

I am soooo excited to watch The Conjuring!!! Looks creepy as hell! I love movies based on true stories and this one is based on a haunting!?! I seriously can't wait!!! The last movie I watched in the theater was 'This is the End'.  Another great movie in my opinion.  I laughed my ass off! I thought it was going to be terrible but I really enjoyed it.  Speaking of movies that I thought were going to be terrible..Pitch Perfect.  I thought that it was going to be completely ridiculous.  But I was home one day and I figured, eh what the hell.  So I watched it.  I absolutely LOVED it.  Seriously, after like 15 mi

nutes into the movie I knew.  I haven't bought a movie in like a year and I bought this one the next day.  Seriously, if you haven't watched it yet, what in the hell is wrong with you? Okay, okay i'm just kidding.  But really, I do love the movie.

Anyways, I know this was a random post but, I figure everyone can use a laugh sometimes right? Even at my expense.   I may have had a few, or many, glasses of wine tonight but i'm an adult so that's okay.  I'm not driving or being all crazy...I may be making weirdo blog posts and do my nails but we'll see.  HA

Well, I hope everyone has a great night and watches a movie that they really enjoy.  I am about to watch Pretty Little Liars that I recorded last night so I will probably be doing my nails.  Plus, the chick on 50/50 is really pissing me off right now and I need a happy place.  :D

So goodnight everyone and I will have a REAL post soon.  It may not be till friday because I will be busy until then but who knows.  Goodnight!!!

Dupes for MAC, Urban Decay & Stila? Yes Please!

Hello all! So I recently ordered some eyeshadows from MakeupGeek at http://www.makeupgeek.com/store/  I got Cocoa Bear which is a pretty brownish color with red tones in it.  Creme Brûlée which is a super light brown. And Shimma Shimma which is a pretty silvery color with yep, you guessed it, SHIMMER! HA  They are all very pigmented colors and are beautiful.  I used Creme Brûlée and Cocoa Bear yesterday and couldn't believe how similar they were to some other more expensive eye shadows.  So, lets begin!

Left to Right
MAC's Brown Script & MUG's Cocoa Bear

How similar are these? The Cocoa Bear looks a little brighter but when you swatch them

Brown Script (on the left) actually looks a little brighter.  Not by much though. Cocoa Bear blends really well and looks amazing.  At $5.99 for the pan as opposed to $12.00 for the pan by MAC I'd say that's pretty damn good!

MAC's Soft Brown & MUG's Creme Brûlée

Very similar again right? Creme Brûlée (right) looks a tiny bit more shimmery but still a great dupe for Soft Brown.  Check out the swatches below.

Lastly is MUG's Shimma Shimma.  It is a pretty silvery-champaign color.  This one I have found that it is a good dupe for 4 colors! That's right, 4!

First is Shroom by MAC on the left.

Urban Deccay's Virgin on the left.

And surprisingly Urban Decay's Verve.  They don't look similar in the pans but when I swatched them they actually look very similar as well.

Here are the swatches from them all.

Left to Right is:
UD-Verve, UD-Virgin, MAC-Shroom & MUG-Shimma

Now time for the finale.

Stila's Kitten & MUG's Shimma Shimma

Am I wrong? These colors are pretty much the same to me.  More similar than any of the others.

When swatches, Kitten (left) has a more pinkish color as opposed to Shimma Shimma which is more silvery.  But they are still so similar to me.

Welp, those are some dupes from my most recent purchase.  I will definitely be buying more Makeup Geek shadows.  They are up to par with MAC, UD & Stila but much much cheaper.  If I find any more dupes I will give you an update.

What do you think of these dupes? Let me know! If you have tried Makeup Geek's products let me know what you think of them as well.  Have a great day!

Target & Sephora Haul

Hello again! Two days in a row.  Woo! I'm on a role! So, there were a few things I needed to pick up at Target and Sephora.  I did not end up with just a few things.

First up, Target:

I needed some more basic cotton rounds.  I ended up getting the exfoliating ones since I have never tried them.  Don't know if they are actually gonna be any different but we'll see.

Next up is a wrinkle reducing sheet mask from Masque Bar by Look Beauty.  These I can say I have never tried.  I saw satnightsalrite on youtube say she uses them so I figured...why not? There were four different kinds to choose from.  I chose the wrinkle reducing mask.  Since I am turning 30 this year...yep...the big 3-0...I figured I should start utilizing some anti-aging products.  This one is supposed to be moisturizing, which is always good for me, age-defying, softening & revitalizing.  It contains green tea extract which is an antioxidant that helps with skin elasticity and helps decrease wrinkles and is also a good anti-inflammatory.   Collagen which helps plump up and firm skin. And vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin.

Then I got Arm & Hammer Advanced Whitening tooth paste.  I'm getting married in June so I need to get those teeth of mine nice and white!

Rimmel soft kohl kajal eyeliner pencil in 040 purple passion.  Yet another product I have not tried but has gotten great reviews.

Loreal's Voluminous Million Lashes mascara.  I LOVE this stuff! It really is super volumizing.  It goes on really easy and my favorite thing is that it separates my lashes so nicely.  So many mascaras cause my lashes to clump up but not this one.

Maybelline Eye Studio gel liner in Blackest Black.  Best eyeliner formula I've tried to date.

Revlon lipstick in Primrose.

Essie nail polish in turquoise and caicos.

It's a 10 miracle leave-in plus keratin.  Another product that i always re-purchase.  It replaces lost protein, protects the natural keratin in hair, protects against heat, restores hydration balance, detangles, defrizzes & adds shine and lots of other stuff as well.  I use it every time after I was my hair. It feels so soft and smooth immediately.

Now for Sephora!

My 500 point perk was A Josie Maran Argan Essentials set.  I am soooo excited to try this.  I haven't used any of her products yet but I've heard so many great things about them.  Inside are Bear Naked Wipes, Argan cleansing oil, 100% pure argan oil and an argan lip treatment.  I really can't wait to try this stuff.  I'll keep you posted on how i'm liking them.

Murad Hydro-Dyanamic Ultimate Moisture.  Another new product.  I just recently used up my Chanel moisturizer and wanted to try something new.  It says it locks in optimal moisture levels for 8 hours, restores resilience and tone yet is gentle enough for sensitive skin.  The ingredients are Avocado, sunflower and olive fruit oils the enhance skins ability to retain maximum levels of hydration. Retinyl Palmitate and shea butter improve texture and tone while restoring natural smoothness and softness.  And Collagen.  This is also anti-age formula.

Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist 24 Intensive eye contour cream.  Are you starting to see a pattern here? I love Shiseido products.  It smells really nice and just goes on really well.  It is more of a thick cream than say...clinique.  It has a very clean smell to it also which is nice because I don't really like super scented face products.

Lastly I got a sample of Shiseido Bio Performance Serum super-corrective.  I also used up my Chanel Serum so I decided to just get a sample of this.  I tried it out on my hand and it feels very refreshing.  I'm going to try it for a week or so and see how it works.

So, that is my haul for today.  I really can't wait to take off all my makeup and use my new face products  So so excited! Too bad it's only 1:20 PM.  HAHA   Anyways, hope you all are having a great day and I will talk to you soon!

CHEVRON NAILS!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay in posts this week. I was at work doing 16 hour days.  NOT fun.  Anyhow, just got back home today and the fiance is busy with appointments so naturally, I decided to do my nails.  The design was actually inspired by a photo I saw on instagram.  I thought it was fun.  Here is the first picture and I will describe how I did it as well below.

First I applied my Nail Tech Foundation II base coat. I love this stuff! I have very brittle nails so this stuff fills in the small cracks and make my nails super even and smooth.

Then I applied China Glaze's White on White on my middle finger so it would dry quick.  Then I used Butter London's Primrose Hill Picnic which I absolutely love!! Great formula and you really only need one coat of this stuff but I always do two out of habit.  The last color I used was Essie's Good as Gold.  This one is a little more difficult to work with.  It streaks so you definitely have to do two coats.  I love the outcome of this metallic color.  After my nails dried I applied the small black Chevron stickers that I found on http://www.etsy.com/shop/MakeitStickDesigns

These are suuuuper easy to apply and look amazing.  Not expensive either.  I got them in black and white.

Lastly I applied my Seche Vite top coat.

What was your nail look today?

The 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty!

Greed:
What is your most expensive beauty item?
Definitely my YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation
Gluttony:
What product makes up the biggest chunk of your makeup collection?
Eye shadow.  No doubt in my mind!

Wrath:
Which beauty item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
All brow products.  Not because they are bad I am just not the best brow crafter! HA

Sloth:
What product do you neglect to use due to laziness?
Lip liner for sure.  It just takes soooo much time when I can just throw on the lipstick quickly.

Pride:
What product gives you the most confidence?
Mascara.  Makes everyone's eyes stand out no matter who you are!

Lust:
Which item is at the top of your beauty wish list?
Hmm, the would really like to try the PMD but I am skeptical about whether it's really worth it or not.

Envy:
Which product do you love on others but not yourself?
Super dramatic dark makeup.  I have small eyes so wearing dark colors just emphasizes how small they are.

I tag everyone that reads this!

Have a great day!!

What's in my work bag?

Hello! So, I am still at work for another 8 days.  Not the smartest time to start a beauty blog huh? Anyhow, instead of a regular what's in my bag post I've decided to share with you what's in my bag that I keep with me at work.  Nothing too exciting but I figured it would be something some what different.  So, let's begin!

Here is my bag.  When I started working here in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska I was in housekeeping.  One of my co-workers was from the Philippines and when she went to visit family she got me this bag.  I absolutely love it! It's not flashy and it's very comfortable.

So, here's what is in my bag.  I took one picture of everything since there was so much in there.

1.  Burberry wallet-  Yes, I love it and I take it EVERYWHERE with me.

2.  Harry Potter book-  Right now I'm almost done with The Chamber of Secrets.  I've seen all of the movies and really enjoyed them so I figured why not read the books? Especially since everyone speaks so highly of them.  I work in a field of men and you wouldn't believe how many of them like this series.  It's hilarious but awesome all at the same time.

3.  Work badge-  Pretty much explains itself.  I have to have it to get through all of the security check points.

4.  Aleve-  Gotta have some drugs!

5.  Hand lotion-  Secret Wonderland by Bath & Body Works that I got from a co-worker for Christmas.  It is very dry up here so gotta keep my hands moisturized.  The formula to this lotion is good I'm just not a huge fan of the smell.  A little too strong for working in a small office with another person.

6.  Paws hand wipe

7.  Truvia-  Calorie free sweetener

8.  Pen

9. Delon+ Lip Moisturizer in mango-  Another gift for Christmas

10.  Carmex chap stick

11.  Neosporin-  For all of those paper cuts! HA! I also use this because it works wonders on new piercings.

12.  Band aid-  Again, for those paper cuts

13.  Ear plugs-  We do a lot of engraving so these are a huge plus

14.  Eye drops-  For dry eyes in the dry weather

Not pictured:

Water Bottle-  Gotta have that water up here.  It's basically a desert so you get dehydrated really easy.  A couple months ago I was feeling really sick.  Shivers, head ache's, couldn't sleep.  I went down to the medic and they took all my stats and told me I was dehydrated.  So dehydrated in fact that they had to give me two IV's.  I felt better almost immediately.

So, that's basically everything in my work bag.  Usually I have a hair tie in there as well but I must have used it and didn't put it back.

Okay, so as I was writing this blog, one of our technicians came in and shared this picture with me:

He was driving and this bear was in a fight with another bear then started running away.  The driver was going 35 mph when the pic was taken.  Scary!! This is why I work inside!

So, there is my post for today.  I promise when I get home I will do more beauty related posts such as OOTD's and FOTD's, tutorials etc.  Trust me, you don't want to see pics of me in jeans and a sweat shirt everyday.  :)

Have a great day!!

June Favorites!!

Hi everyone! So, I am at work right now and don't have access to my June favorites but I will add some product images for you.

Favorite numero uno:  YSL Touche Éclat' Foundation SPF19

I absolutely adore this foundation! I live in Alaska so I tend to have extremely dry skin! Especially in the winter.  This foundation goes on smoothly and doesn't leave any flakey residue like other foundations.  It has really good coverage as well.  Not heavy coverage but I'd say a good medium.  It has a nice glow to which some people might not like especially if you have oily skin but I love the outcome it gives me.

Favorite number 2:  Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel cream bronzer

I know, I know.  Another high end product.  But, I love this bronzer! Again, it works great with my dry skin.  It goes on easily and a little product goes a long way.  I apply it with an angled kabuki brush and it just looks beautiful on the skin.  As far as buying it in the future we'll see.  But for now it is definitely one of my faves!

Favorite nombre trois:  Essie's Bikini So Teeny

This is such a beautiful color! I had had it for about a month before I finally used.  Yes, I have waaaay too much nail polish.  Anyways, I had just gotten home from a trip to Washington and grabbed to do a quick mani.  As soon as that first stroke went on my nail I fell in love with it.  It's one of those colors where you can't tell if it's more purple or blue.  I'm thinking blue.  I mean purple.  No blue. Definitely blue.  ☺ Anyways, the formula is very nice.  No streaks.  Could have left it at one coat but i'm a 2 coat kinda girl!  I did all my nails with this color and then painted some clouds on my ring finger with Essie's Tart Deco (another all time fave) and a white by China Glaze.  Beautiful combo.

Favorite Nummer Vier:  H&M Tank Top with Rib Cage burn out pattern

OMG!! I LOOOOVE this tank top.  Never been much for the skulls, bones, that kinda thing but for some reason this tank just grabbed my attention right away.  It has a very light sheer material and deep armholes.  I definitely have to wear a tighter tank underneath since I have to get a large or my big ol' boobies would be hanging out.  It also has a zipper at the back of the neck that just gives it that extra bang.  I get so many compliments when I wear this.  Will probably be a fave for a long time!

So, there are my favorites for June! I hope you liked this post and it gives you some info if you were thinking about purchasing any of these and weren't sure.  Have a great day and talk to you all soon!
